According to an April 7, 2009 media leak, the Conservative party is now considered a bunch of extremist radicals and racists. According to this report, the economic downturn and the election of America's first African-American president have fueled a rise in Conservatives and people who favor states rights and laws over government laws.
Apparantly, this report concluded that there weren't any signs that these so-called 'extremists' could get violent or be a threat to national security.
It begs the question: Why are they focusing all their energy on a specific political group? Especially one that shows no sign of actually being a threat to national security?
Also, why are they lumping in violent people who are NOT Conservative in with the Conservatives?
Oh, no, we like our guns. Shame on us.
Oh, no, we want the government out of our pockets. We're so terrible.
Oh, no, we don't want socialism and the majority of us didn't vote for Obama because of it. We're so racist.
So, my point of view doesn't coincide with yours. That doesn't make me any more right than it makes you. Personally, I'm sick of both parties right now. I may align myself with the Conservatives, but I do not consider myself a Republican. I'm tired of corruption in our elected offices.
Those 'Tea Parties' on tax day, they weren't because we don't want an African-American president, they were because government spending is out of control, and we want them to stay out of our pockets. I'm sorry if I want a future. If that makes me a terrorist, then so be it.
Yeah, Conservatives, a real threat to national security.
DHS, why don't you actually do your job and look for real terrorists?

Actually, everyone is just at fault for wasting the people's money. Conservatives. Liberals. Democrats. Republicans. Libertarian. Ralph Nader.
I don't think "looking for terrorists" would be DHS's solution, because it's a BIG waste of time and money. And all it ever got us was a bunch of ungodly torture techniques on people who will only be tortured to say anything to get the torture to stop.
Which makes us look like uncivilized ignorant-blind people in the eyes of the political world - which makes it more likely for extremism aimed at us to arise in other areas.
What HS should be doing is finding ways to get people all of the necessary resources for human survival; this will contribute to lessening the strain on individuals (and groups) likely to become extremists (radicals, terrorists, etc.).
The United States has a big problem with prevention, the idea that "nothing is wrong" until "oh god, something is wrong here." Therein lies the majority of fault because Americans never know when to quit - until people are dying in car accidents because there are no air bags, or yadda yadda yadda. Or teenagers are getting pregnant now, and all we can do is teach them abstinence (which is a nice ideal, but never achievable), because teaching them the course of prevention is inappropriate.
Although, I do not know, but the idea of Conservatists seems to tell me that they're idea of prevention is a waste of time. Because it means the government works closer, or needs more money, etc, etc.
Currently, I am not a big believer in the system, locally, or nationally.
I cry 'foul' on the US. Give them the red card.
